Khosrow Semnani


Who is Khosrow Semnani you may ask?  He is an Iranian immigrant who constituted Envirocare In 1990 in Clive Utah for the safe disposition of radioactive waste. He also constituted a free medical clinic (Maliheh Clinic) in Utah, Salt Lake City without any governmental financing. Later on he planted the Semnani Family Foundation for aiding diverse individuals worldwide. He was likewise responsible for the work involved in Encyclopaedia Iranica.

khosrow semnani is a personification of the American Dream and is a profound worshiper of political freedom and developing the Iranian suit. He has funded and helped many charitable trusts and constitution. He has also been trying to elevate educational activity in post war Iran. At present he keeps real estate stakes in many countries as too farming ventures in Africa. His lobbying activities and support for the Iranians has made him really popular among all Iranians and others who idealize him. He has also constituted an organization called Omid for Iran. Omid for Iran’s mission is to protect and promote the interests of the people of Iran by striving to create the conditions for a better future — a future brimming with hope, opportunity and possibility.

Khosrow  Semnani has been an outstanding and successful member of the Iranian-American and Muslim community in Utah   He is a role model to those who come from other countries and those who are from Iranian  heritages.  He has inspired many people in the Iranian community to strive for success.

Semnani   completed his elementary and high school education in Iran and later studied in England.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry and physics from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1972.  He then continued his education at the University of Utah where he received a Masters of Engineering Administration degree in 1977. 

The Foundation has worked with the Measles Initiative partners the American Red Cross, WHO, UNICEF, the United Nations Foundation, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in helping to meet their goals of eradicating measles on the African continent.  Specifically, the Foundation has generously donated to the Measles Initiative, which is a long-term commitment to control measles deaths in Africa by vaccinating 200 million children through both mass and follow-up campaigns in up to 36 Sub-Saharan African countries by 2006.  Newsweek reported in March of 2005, that as of early 2005, the Initiative had vaccinated 150 million children in 33 African countries, saving more than 1,200,000 lives over five years.  It has been so efficient that the Initiative is ahead of schedule, under budget and is exceeding its targets.  The Semnani Foundation was specifically cited in the article along with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Norwegian Aid, Japanese International Agency for Cooperation (JICA), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, ExxonMobil, Starwood, and others, as a “significant contributor” to the Measles Initiative. In 2005, the Semnani Foundation was awarded the Circle of Humanitarians award from the Red Cross in appreciation for their generous annual giving and support of Red Cross Humanitarian efforts throughout the world
